Oscar R. Johnson, 88, of Duluth, passed away on January 14, 2017.  He was born on January 29, 1928, to Victor & Edith Johnson. Oscar retired from Century Motor Freight in 1990, after 32 years. For 16 years after retiring, he volunteered with St. Louis County, AEOE, and Lutheran Social Service as a driver. Oscar loved listening to polka music, liked playing cards, camping, and fishing. He enjoyed visiting with his sons and grandchildren.  Oscar was preceded in death by his brother, Melvin (Betty). Oscar is survived by his wife of 58 years, Betty; sons, Kevin (Leann) and Todd (LeAnn); grandchildren, Chad and Sydney; sister, Anna (Jerry) Roettger; and nieces and nephews. VISITATION: 12 pm Friday, June 16th at Sunrise Funeral Home, 4798 Miller Trunk Hwy, Hermantown, with a memorial service at 1 pm. Per Oscar's wishes, please dress casually for the service.
