Obituary

Natheline "Nath" Theresa (Ohmann) Lutkevich, 96, passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Catholic ElderCare in Minneapolis after a long journey with Alzheimer's. Nath was born to Frank and Juliana (Tholl) Ohmann in Albany, Minnesota and grew up in Albany and later near Orr in northern Minnesota. She graduated from St. Francis High School in Little Falls in 1939. During WWII, she worked as Rosie the Riveter at Douglas Aircraft Plant in Santa Monica, CA, along with her pal Peg. She met Alex Lutkevich at her sister's wedding in 1939, and they reconnected after the war and married in 1946. Alex was in the Air Force, and Nath readily accepted the challenges of raising a family on various air bases in the U.S. and abroad. She excelled at cooking and baking and was a talented seamstress, quilter and knitter. She loved gardening and being outdoors and continued to fish and pick blueberries into her 90s. She lived out her strong faith in Our Lord and had a special devotion to His Blessed Mother, Mary. Nath was preceded in death by her husband, Alex; daughter, Linda Jean; siblings, Yvette Grigal, Bud Ohmann, Ruth Holenko, Jean Padgett, Lew Ohmann, Br. Pat Ohmann, OSF, and Sheila Ehlert. Nath is survived by her children, Jim (Jan) Lutkevich, Dianne (John) Blake, Marilyn (Scott) Clark, and Alan (Deb) Lutkevich; grandchildren, Julie (Ben) Armey, Jenny Lutkevich, and Jason (Patti) DeBeltz; great-grandchildren, Kate and Natalie; siblings, Art Ohmann, Leon (Bernice) Ohmann, and Sharon (Jim) Kahlert; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family wishes to thank the caring staff at Catholic ElderCare, Allina Hospice, and especially Nath's faithful companion, Debra.
