Obituary

Nancy Kay Myran-Johnson, a loving mother, devoted grandmother, talented gardener, and beautiful soul, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2025. She was 77 years old.

Born and raised in Robbinsdale, Minnesota, Nancy was the heart and anchor of her family. She married shortly after high school and raised three children - Heidi Peterson, Aron Peterson, and Mark Peterson - with unwavering love and strength. Later in life, she was blessed to find her true soulmate in Robert "Bob" Johnson, with whom she shared many joyful years.

Nancy had a timeless elegance and a gentle spirit. She adored Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, and the classic charm of I Love Lucy. Her days were filled with beauty - painting vibrant scenes, tending to her flourishing garden, sewing with care and precision, and doting on the many animals lucky enough to know her love.

Her greatest joy, however, came from caring for her children and grandchildren. She poured her heart into raising and loving them, creating a legacy of laughter, comfort, and unconditional support.

Nancy is survived by her children, Heidi Peterson, Aron Peterson, and Mark Peterson; grandchildren, Ben Stewart, Amanda Stewart, Sabina Wallace, and Lily Peterson; and great-grandchildren, Cora Stewart and London Blaser.

She joins in heaven her beloved parents, Kenneth and Faye Myran; the father of her children, Douglas Peterson; and the love of her life, Robert Johnson.

Nancy will be remembered for her beauty - both inside and out, her fierce love for her family, her green thumb, creative hands, and the way she made each of her children and grandchildren feel like the most important person in the world.

A celebration of life will be held from 4-7PM on Sunday, June 29th at the Gillespie Center, 2590 Commerce Blvd., Mound, MN 55364. Please bring a photo of Nancy to share at her celebration of life!

Nancy was truly an inspiration to us all - a wonderful person to grow with, and someone who taught us what it means to be a family. She had an extraordinary heart and showed us how to love unconditionally. Her stories, her laughter, and her love will be deeply missed but will live on through each of us.

She was always someone you could turn to with any problem, offering wise words with grace and compassion. Nancy was a woman of true class, beauty, and honor - someone who couldn't let a soul down if she tried. Everything she did was for her family, and her legacy of love and strength will never be forgotten.
