Miles Wilbert Porter, age 76, of Duluth, passed away on September 23, 2015, while at his home. He was born on July 15, 1939, to Mylie and Ella (Bailey) Porter. Miles grew up in the Duluth area and later moved to California. He made is way back to Minnesota in 1985. In 1967, Miles was united in marriage with Anthonette Popis. He was a machinest for Hart Manufacturing in California.   Miles is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Philip Porter. Miles is survived by his wife, Anthonette Porter; daughter, Kathryn (Cary) LeBrasseur; grandsons, James (Marie) LeBrasseur and Ryan LeBrasseur; great grandchildren, Tylor, Jackson and Alyce; siblings, Virginia (James) Hammarlund, Edith (Eugene) Hansen, Thomas (Eleanor) Porter, Paul Porter, John Porter, James (Kathy) Porter; aunt, Dorothy Babcock; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be on Monday, September 28, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Sunrise Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Sunrise Cemetery.
