Obituary

Mary Lou (Ledingham) Workman, 63, longtime resident of Kerrick, MN, left her earthly body behind to meet her Lord on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at the Solvay Hospice House in Duluth, MN after a brief battle with cancer.

While Mary would say being a mother was her greatest honor, she was also a proud veteran of the United States Coast Guard. Mary later retired from the Bureau of Prisons as a Senior Office Specialist. She was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and American Legion.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Kathleen Ledingham; sister, Susan Kinney; and great-niece, IO Korol.

Mary is survived by her long-time love and partner, Donald Moore; children, April (Jeremy) Johnson, Jennifer (Christopher) Davies, and Joseph (Mary) Workman; grandchildren, Logan, Hannah, and Tristin; sister, Roberta Holmes; brothers, James Ledingham and John Ledingham; nieces, Amber Skorich, and Angie Korol; her fur baby, Lucy; and many grand dogs.

Military Honors and Committal Ceremony to honor Mary's life will be held 2:00 PM on Friday, January 6, 2023 at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery - Duluth in Saginaw.

Mary believed in sharing light and love with those around her. In her memory, the family would enjoy having her honored with random acts of kindness, forgiveness, and compassion.
