Mary Ellen Basil, 74, of Duluth, Minnesota fell asleep in death on August 18, 2021 at Chris Jensen Health & Rehabilitation Center.

Mary Ellen was born in Duluth, Minnesota to Peter and Harriet Basil on March 14, 1947. She went to high school at Stanbrook Hall and graduated in 1965.

Mary Ellen was a certified picture framer at her own shop Basil's on London Road in Duluth. She loved to do art, lots of types of art, stain glass, sculpture, knitting, quilting, welding, genealogy, painting, needlepoint, jewelry making,  cooking, dress making, painting, beading, and more.

Mary Ellen was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her brother, Austin; sister, Bette; and three nieces.
