Obituary

Marjorie (Mayhew) Sullivan, 97, went home to be with the Lord on April 7, 2020 after a short stay in hospice at Essentia. She was born in Duluth on Dec. 13, 1922. Marjorie attended Denfeld High School and Hursh Business College. She worked for the U.S. Dept. of Interior until she retired in 1994. She was a long-time member of Duluth Bible Church. As a young woman, she enjoyed many sports including speed racing, skiing, softball, volleyball, golf, and bowling. She bowled on a league until 2013. Above all, she loved spending time with her family, who will miss her dearly. You would always find her at an event or gathering with a smile on her face and a ready laugh. Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, William E. and Florida Mayhew; and her brother, Harold (Katie) Mayhew. Marjorie is survived by her 3 children, Veryl (Mark) Sullivan, Gayle (Michael) Blatnik, and Tim (Deb) Sullivan; 3 grandchildren, Shanna Blatnik, Ryan Sullivan, and Tara (Jeff) Nicholls; 2 great-grandchildren, Kennedy and Henry Nicholls; and extended family and friends. A celebration of life service will be held at 6:30 pm on Thursday, July 23rd at Duluth Bible Church, 201 W Andrews St, Duluth.
