Marjorie (Marj) Adel Sholund (DeFore), 85, of Pike Lake, MN, entered into eternal rest on October 17, 2026.

Marjorie was an avid quilter, genealogist, rosemaler, and gardener, and found joy in the many creative pursuits she loved.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Lorna DeFore; her brother, Richard (June); and her husband, David.

She is survived by her brother, Ronald (Barbara); her two children, Julie (Tomas) of Cloquet and Mark (Michelle) of Maryland; and her two grandsons, Drake and Benjamyn.

A Committal Service will be held at Sunrise Funeral Home on Friday October 30, 2026 at 1pm.  A memorial gathering to celebrate Marjorie’s life will be planned for Friday, June 18, 2027 from 11am-1pm at Sunrise Funeral Home, 4798 Miller Trunk Hwy, Hermantown, MN, 55811.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Keystone Bluffs and St. Luke’s Aspirus for caring for mom in her final months.
