Marion Dorothy (Carlson) Rathe, 95, of Virginia, MN died Tuesday May 14, 2013 in Essentia Health, Virginia Regional Medical Center.  She was born in Duluth on March 12, 1918.  She married Harlan Rathe in Duluth in 1939.   She then moved with Harlan to Virginia, MN, in 1969 where Marion had a hobby and boutique business, which included creating silk ribbon flower arrangements for all occasions, which expressed her crafting creativity.  Marion loved time spent with her family, and friends enjoying good food.  The family wishes to give a special thank you to Dr. Vickstrom, Sonja and staff for their caring treatment of Marion. She was preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers, and her son Daniel Rathe. She is survived by her husband Harlan, two of her children Duane (Kathy) and Barbara (Jerry) Butchart, seven grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren and sixteen great-great-grandchildren.
