Marilyn Jean Kruse, 88, of Duluth, MN passed away peacefully on January 30, 2023 at Edgewood Vista with family by her side. She was born to Elmer and Mary (Meacham) Anderson in Aitkin, MN on November 7, 1934.

Upon graduation from Cloquet High School in 1951, she attended St. Luke's School of Nursing. She married Patrick K. Kruse on May 23, 1957. She worked in Duluth as an RN for 40 years, retiring from St. Mary's Duluth Clinic in 1992. After retiring, she moved to Tucson, AZ for 16 years, then returned to Duluth. Marilyn enjoyed sports, family, friends, and she loved to travel.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick; parents, Elmer and Mary; and sister, Glorian.

Marilyn is survived by her sons, Brian (Lori) Kruse and Jeffrey (Donna) Kruse; grandsons, Austin Kruse, Patrick (Jessica) Kruse and Timothy Kruse; granddaughters, Ashley (Justin) Kruse and Heather (Cory) Melander; great-granddaughters, Kalyn Shatto and Effy Marie Kruse; brother, Warren (Sandra) Anderson; special cousin, Janice Huhta; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Edgewood, especially Nancy Christensen, for all her help throughout this adventure, and Caring Edge Hospice, especially Amanda, Amy and Abby, for their care and friendship of Marilyn.

Per Marilyn request, no services will be held. There will be a family gathering at a later date. Interment at Park Hill Cemetery in the spring.
