Margaret “Marge” Witte, 94, of Duluth, Minnesota passed away on September 10, 2026, surrounded by family at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth, Minnesota.

Marge was born on June 5, 1932. Her birth parents were Joseph and Katherine Pucuski. Following their passing, she was adopted by John and Clara Acker.

Marge graduated from Hermantown High School in 1950 and married George Witte on November 25, 1950. She worked for Nides Finance for five years, Proctor School District for twenty-seven years, and Holiday Hotel and Suites for ten years.

Marge enjoyed baking, gardening, fishing, time with her Golden Retrievers, and spending time at the cabin with family.

Marge was an Honorary Member of the Twin Ports Dog Training Club and a former member of the Duluth Kennel Club. She had a special love for dogs.

Marge was preceded in death by her husband, George; son, John; and brothers, Joseph Pucuski and Tom Hedin.

Marge is survived by her children, Robert “Bob” (Lorry) Witte of Ham Lake, Minnesota, Jean (Kurt) Anderson of The Villages, Florida, and Judy Witte (John’s wife) of Duluth, Minnesota; six grandchildren, Sarah, Max, Stephanie, Michael (Ike), Julia and Karl; and four great-grandchildren.

A private service is being held for Marge at Sunrise.
