Our mother, Margaret Denise Lundberg, age 96, of Duluth, Minnesota peacefully passed away on September 23, 2021 at Plainview Estates in Esko, Minnesota. Margaret was born in England to Arthur and Alice Evans on October 11, 1924. She met her husband, Tim A. Lundberg, during World War II while he was stationed there. They married in England on April 1, 1944 and as a war bride Margaret came to the United States on the Queen Mary in 1946. They built a life together while raising five children in the Duluth area and enjoyed spending time at the cabin in Mahtowa, MN. In addition to being a loving mother and grandmother, she loved to fish, and grow flowers in her garden. She was witty, quite funny, and a force to be reckoned with.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Tim; son, Carl Lundberg; granddaughter, Beth Lundberg; parents; and brother, Neville James Evans.

Margaret is survived by her sons, Paul (Suzy), Steve (Val) and Brett (Sharon); daughter, Debra Williams; daughter-in-law, Bernie Lundberg; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Plainview Estates in Esko, MN for their wonderful care of Margaret.

A celebration of life will be at 1:00 PM Saturday, October 2nd at Sunrise Funeral Home, 4798 Miller Trunk Hwy. Masks will be required and social distancing encouraged.

She will be missed.
