Margaret "Peggy" Ellen Schilla, 75, of Scanlon MN, passed away on Wednesday April 10, 2024 at St. Luke's Hospital with her sons by her side.

Margaret was born at St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth, Minnesota to Franklin and Ursula Bascom on October 10, 1948. She attended Denfeld High School and graduated in 1966. She worked as a lunchroom attendant at Birchwood Elementary School for several years. She enjoyed traveling, gambling, and spending time with family and friends.

Margaret was preceded in death by her loving husband, Herbert Schilla; parents, Franklin and Ursula Bascom; and brother, Gilbert Bascom.

Margaret is survived by her sons, Matthew and Todd (Cheryl); daughter, Kimberly (Eddie) Waites; grandchildren, Brittany, Lindsey, Cody, Aaron, Taylor, and Morgan; and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at 1:00 PM on April 18th at Sunrise Funeral Home, 4798 Miller Trunk Hwy, with Memorial service at 2:00 PM and reception to follow.
