Lyna (Lehto) Burke 95 passed away April 9, 2015 at St. Eligius. She was born on January 3, 1920 in Embarrass MN to Nicholas & Anna Lehto. She grew up in Embarrass and graduated in 1936. Lyna enjoyed playing baseball in the neighborhood in the mid 1950's. She also enjoyed crocheting, attending to her flower beds, baking and cooking. Lyna was active in the parent teacher association for many years. She was preceeded in death by her parents, husband Joe, 3 brothers, 4 sisters and son Captain Gerald Burke. She is survived by daughters Bonnie Shimmin, Sheila Jackson both of Duluth, JoLynn Spaulding, Carol (Richard) Meldahl of the Twin Cities. 7 grand children Kevin (Sheri) Shimmin, Kyle (Jodi) Shimmin, Kory Shimmin, Jay (Teri) Szymczak, Jeff (Renee) Szymczak, Scott (Jill) Meldahl, grand daughter Keri (Fred) Bedoya, 16 great grand children, 2 great great grand children, sister Evie Koski, sister in law Doris Lehto
