Luella Margaret Keseley, 97, passed away peacefully in Silsbee, TX on April 3, 2025 in the loving care of her daughter, Gail. She was born in Hibbing, MN on July 8, 1927 to August and Corrine Kinzel.

Luella was the last of her generation and left behind a legacy of quiet strength and love. Though reserved, Luella's steadfast dedication to family and friends shone brightly.

In 1948 Luella married Richard "Dick" Keseley, and they were married for 67 years before his passing. Luella raised her four children in Silver Bay, MN. Her strong work ethic inspired everyone who knew her. She ran a popcorn stand and the Dairy Queen, and later worked at the bank.  She helped Dick manage two apartment buildings in Duluth. Luella was a great cook and baker and loved to host family and friends. She cherished fishing and camping on the northern lakes of Minnesota along with motorhome and bus trips around the country with Dick. For over 20 summers, the family gathered at son Bob's cabin in Wisconsin.

In Nov 2019, Luella moved to RidgePoint in Minnetonka, MN where she continued her passions of cards and knitting. At 92 she learned how to knit a complicated bubble cap and made hundreds that were donated.

Luella is survived by her children, Rick (Doug), Gail Musarra, Terry (Paula), and Bob (Jayme); grandchildren, Andrea (Dave) Musarra, Jon (Xochitl) Keseley, Angie (Chris) Johnson, Elle and Anna Keseley; great-grandchildren, Kael Keseley and Hadley, Lyla and Marlie Johnson; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dick; grandson, Ryan Musarra; and 9 siblings.

Luella's Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, April 15th at St Mary of the Lake Catholic Church, 105 Forestview Lane N, Plymouth MN 55441. Family and friends are welcome. Visitation begins at 10:00 AM followed by a service at 11:00 AM and reception to follow. She will be laid to rest next to Dick at Fort Snelling National Cemetery the following day.
