Lisa Marie Miranda Tollefson, 60, of Duluth MN, passed away on February 4, 2026 at Aspirus hospital. She was loved by all and will be very much missed, she was a great mother, sister, daughter, grandmother, aunt and to everyone else she met she was absolutely amazing. She had the kindest soul, beautiful smile and always welcomed everyone she met with open arms.
Lisa was born in Covina California to Joseph Miranda and Rose Regalado on July 3, 1965. She went to Azusa High School and graduated in 1983. She worked as a dietary assistant at Anaheim General hospital for 10 years, dietary assistant at Carlton County Jail for 6 years, was a cab/Uber driver for many years, also worked as a cook at Senior Connections which was her last and favorite job that she was hoping to return back to. She enjoyed shopping with her nana, road trips with her hubby and foxy brown, watching tv especially housewives and below deck, loved to FaceTime family any chance she had. She was involved in Animal Allies and loved all animals dearly.
Lisa was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Miranda; mother in-law, Patricia Tollefson and stepfather Rudy Bill; grandma “nana” Evelyn Nino Guardado; and fur babies, Mongo and Bella.
Lisa is survived by her husband, Scott Tollefson; fur baby, Foxy Brown; sons, Alex Budisalovich, Chad (Haley) Budisalovich, and Chase (Joelle) Tollefson; daughter, Danielle Tollefson; ex-husband, Duane (Pat) Budisalovich; grandchildren, Averie Rose, Rowen Tollefson, Myles Tollefson, Liam Tollefson, Allyson Tollefson and Iris Anne Tollefson; mother, Rose (Armando) Regalado; siblings, Robert Miranda, Joseph (Allison) Miranda, and Angela Guerrero; cousins, Raymond Rodriguez and Richard Miranda; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins that she loved very dearly.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Sunrise Funeral Home, and to her amazing doctors that she loved also, Dr. Robert Hoer and Dr. Joel Zamsow.
Visitation will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 27th at Sunrise Funeral Home, 4798 Miller Trunk Hwy, with Memorial Service at 12:00 PM, and a taco bar lunch to follow at in memory of our beloved Lisa. Lisa will be buried at Sunrise Funeral Cemetery, eventually side by side with the love of her life Scott. Memorial donations may be made directly to the family at 4430 Oakley St, Duluth, MN 55804.
