Linda L. Kaufman, 65, of Hermantown, died Thursday August 29, 2013 in Essentia Health, St. Mary's Hospital.  She was born in Virginia, MN, to Roy and Ellen Schuman on March 7, 1948,. She grew up in Britt, MN, graduated from Roosevelt High School in Virginia and attended St. Scholastica College in Duluth.  Linda had owned and operated the El-Roy Bar and Restaurant, and had retired from Qwest as a manager.  She loved crocheting, reading, cooking, cookbooks, gardening and time spent with her family.  Linda always liked telling a good joke. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her beloved brother Roy Schuman. She is survived by her daughters Jennifer (Nick) Muller of Lakeville, Mn and Shannon (Tom) Lundquist of Aurora, MN, grandchildren Gillian, Ellenor, and Levi, sisters Susan Poaletti, and Ellen Joy Gibson Johnson, sister-in-law Judy Schuman, long-time companion Fred Vokavan, several nieces and nephews, and her dog Mitzi.
