Lillian A. (Thompson) Ulshafer, 91, of Proctor, formerly of Hermantown for 43 years, died Sunday September 1, 2013 in St. Luke's Hospital.  She was born in Twig, on June 19, 1922 to Henry and Helga Thompson.  She grew up in Twig and graduated from Proctor High School in 1941.  She married Robert J. Ulshafer in Fayetteville, North Carolina in 1943.  Lillian was a member of New Life Covenant Church, Twig.  The family wishes to thanks the staff at the Hummingbird. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert in 1989, daughter Donna Malec, a brother, and three sisters. She is survived by her children Judy Burns of Alamogordo, NM, Roberta (Milton) Zebott of Duluth, Michael (Kim) of Saginaw, Daryl (Cindy) of Kelsey, MN, son-in-law Frank Malec of Proctor, seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and sisters Margaret Stenborg and Harriet Nyen both of Duluth. Visitation will be held on Thursday September 5, 2013 in Sunrise Funeral Home from 6PM until the 7PM Funeral Service.  Entombment will be in Sunrise Memorial Park Cemetery.
