Leslie H. Pritchett, age 84, of Saginaw, passed away on May 19, 2016 while surrounded by his loving family at Essentia Health St. Mary's Hospital. He was born on September 4, 1931 to Eldon and Pearl Pritchett. In 1950, he graduated from Proctor High School. After graduation, he entered the United States Army where he served in the 82nd Airborne as a paratrooper during the Korean Conflict. On March 10, 1956 he was united in marriage to Patricia Johnson. Les retired from Arrowhead Concrete in 1991 after 34 years of service. After his retirement, Les and his son had a firewood business. Les enjoyed hunting, fishing and picnics with family and friends. He also enjoyed his several trips to Idaho where he would go elk hunting with his family at his brother's place. In recent years, he enjoyed sitting on the porch swing with his special friend Phyllis. Leslie is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Patricia; and sister, Rethel. Leslie is survived by his very special and loving friend, Phyllis Jensen; children, James (Theresa) Pritchett, and Kathleen (Don) Carleton of WY; grandchildren, Sarah "Beans" (Billy) MacDonald, Mary "Fred"(Jesse) Wagenbach, and Kerri "Scooter" Carleton; great grandchildren, Alyssa, Haylee, Kylie, Serena, Asher, and Jackson; three brothers, LeRoy Pritchett, Leonard (JoAnne) Pritchett, Lloyd (Velma) Pritchett; sister, Helen (Dick) Stierns; companions, Lola May and Rampage; and extended family and friends. A celebration of life service will be held on Tuesday, May 24th, 2016 at 3:00 PM at Sunrise Funeral Home. Burial and visitation will follow the service with full military honors at Sunrise Cemetery.
