Leroy R. Patnaude, 84, passed away September 19th, 2016 at Essentia Health while surrounded by his family. He was born in Barney, North Dakota on May 20th, 1932. Leroy served on the Proctor School Board. He retired from the Port Authority of Duluth after 25 years of service. He owned and operated Patnaude Trucking. He was a member of the Proctor Loyal Order of Moose. Leroy is survived by his companion of many years, Alice Ash; his adult children, Michael (Nancy) Patnaude, Douglas Patnaude, David Patnaude, Charles Patnaude, Darrel (Karen) Patnaude, Debra Gregorich, Patrick (Terri) Patnaude, and  James (Karen) Patnaude; 21 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. VISITATION: 3- 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, 2016 at Sunrise Funeral Home, 4798 Miller Trunk Highway, Hermantown. Funeral service 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 23, 2016 with visitation one hour prior.
