Leroy Delano Matchett, 82, of Duluth, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 22, 2017, at Chris Jensen Health & Rehabilitation Center. Leroy took great pride in his work and was very involved in many organizations in his community. He worked at Northern City National Bank for 38 years until his retirement in 1996, at which point he became Vice President in the trust department at North Shore Bank of Commerce, working part-time until 2006.  Leroy was a devoted father and grandfather. He loved spending time with family and friends and he will be dearly missed.  Leroy was preceded in death by his wife, Betsy; his parents; and brother, Dale. Leroy is survived by his daughter, Jessie (Matt Peterson) Edwards; 9 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. VISITATION: 12 pm Saturday, March 4th at Sunrise Funeral Home, 4798 Miller Trunk Hwy, Hermantown, with service to follow at 1 pm.
