Leonard Sune Ostrom, age 79 of Cloquet, Minnesota, passed away at St. Luke's Hospital after being there for almost 3-months. Leonard was born in Umea, Sweden on March 2, 1936. His father, Fritz Ostrom and mother, Agnes (Wikberg) Ostrom moved to this country in 1938. Len served in the US Army for 2 years and was stationed in Germany. Leonard worked for the Ford Motor Company in Chicago for 30 years before retiring. Len never married and moved to Cloquet, MN in 2001. His favorite pastime was reading and spending time with his friends at the McDonald's restaurant in Cloquet for breakfast. He was a kind and gentle man and will be sorely missed. Leonard is survived by his brother Gerald (Frances) Ostrom of Duluth. At Leonard's request, there will be no funeral service. A private family service will be held at a later date.
