Lawrence "Larry" Richard Medalen, 90, of Duluth, MN, passed away on July 4, 2025 in his home and into the arms of his Savior.

Larry was born in Duluth to Lloyd and Viola Medalen. He graduated Hermantown High School in 1954 and worked for Northwestern Bell/AT&T. He enjoyed doing projects and spending time with family.

Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Janet; and sister, Betty.

Larry is survived by his daughters, Sally (Charley) Brown and Sandi (Dennis) Berryhill; grandkids, Jenny (Mark) Johnson, Dan Berryhill and David Brown; great-grandkids, Angela, Zoey, Lydia, Caelyn, Felicity and Enoch; and sister, Carol (Roy) Shelton. He was also loved by any nieces and nephews.

Visitation to be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, July 11th at Sunrise Funeral Home, 4798 Miller Trunk Hwy, with Funeral Service at 4:00 PM and reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred and will go towards a college fund for his great-grandkids. Entombment at Sunrise Memorial Park with Janet.
