Laura R. Paavola, age 57 of Duluth, passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 7, 2016, at Benedictine Health Care Center.  She was born on August 7, 1958 in Massachusetts to Ted and Margaret Paul.  After high school, she worked as a CAN for Golden Oaks Nursing Home and retired to be a stay at home mom.  She enjoyed laughing, playing the piano, crocheting, Prince, attending church, and spending time with family. Laura is preceded in death by her father, Ted Paul; and son, Ukiah. Laura is survived by her children, Josh (Mary) Paavola, Sheena Paavola, Sandi Paavola; 8 grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Kane, Nadia, Ava, Myia, Logan, Olivia, Cloe; mother, Margaret Paul; brothers, Robert (Cheri) Paul, Mike Paul; and numerous extended family members. A celebration of life service will be on Monday, July 11, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Sunrise Funeral Home.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Burial will follow the service at Sunrise Cemetery.  Online condolences can be sent at www.sunrisefuneralhomeandcemetery.com In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the family.
