Kenneth James Mielke, 66, of Floodwood Minnesota, passed away on November 13th, 2021 at St Mary's Hospital in Duluth.

Ken was born in Minneapolis to James and Betty Mielke on March 12th, 1955. He went to High School at Columbia Heights Senior High.  He worked many different jobs but ended his career as a truck driver.

He loved everything about life at "The Farm"; from his tractors, to his cows and chickens, to introducing his grandkids to the great outdoors. There was no place he'd rather be.

Ken was preceded in death by his father, James Mielke; stepfather, Robert Sogge; and his brother, Donald Mielke.

Ken is survived by his daughters, Crystal (Trevor) Olson, Bridget (Josh) LeDoux and Melissa (Derek) Hoisington; grandchildren, Gabby, Pacey, Kaylei and Sawyer; mother, Betty Sogge; and siblings, David (Jane) Mielke, Beann (Mark) Spratt and Joann (Bruce) Larson.

Per Ken's wishes there will be no visitation or funeral. A small family gathering at his farm will be held at a later date.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the many doctors, nurses and health care professionals that have cared for him over the past few years. A special thanks to all of the amazing staff at St Mary's who took such good care of him in his last few days.
