Obituary

Judy Celilia Wendlandt, 57, of Saginaw, Minnesota, formerly of Dassel, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer. Though she fought hard and beat the disease, the treatments ultimately took their toll.

Judy dedicated 23 years of her life working as a CNA in Buffalo Lake and later in Dassel. She formed meaningful connections with the residents she cared for and took great pride in providing comfort, dignity, and compassionate care. Caring for others wasn’t just her job — it was truly who she was.

At home, Judy found joy in tending to her extensive flower gardens and large vegetable garden. She loved cooking meals for family and friends, finding happiness in bringing people together around her table. She treasured the quiet beauty of her rural home, especially watching the wildlife, and she adored spoiling her two rescue dogs, Ally and Bear. Some of her happiest moments were spent traveling in their RV, camping alongside her beloved husband and their dogs, making memories wherever the road would take them.

Judy was preceded in death by her grandparents; her father, Claxton Donald Guyton; and her stepfather, Burnie Petty.

She is lovingly survived by her husband, Eric Wendlandt; her daughters, Ivy and Jasmine Hoffman; her stepsons, Tyler and Justin Wendlandt; her mother, Judy Petty of Nettleton, Mississippi; her sisters, Tracy Brasel of Cordova, Alabama, and Donella Wright (Mitchell) of Mooreville, Mississippi; as well as her nieces, Ashley Phillips, LeeAnn Williams, and Destin Schillaci; her nephew, Dakota Smith; and her great-nieces, McKenzie Hunter, Skylar Phillips, Ryleigh Griffith, and Maddie Schillaci. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
