John "Jackie" Richard Boese Jr., age 63, of Duluth, MN died on Sunday, Dec. 11, 2016 at his home. Jackie was born August 29th, 1953 in St. Cloud, MN to Jeanne (Dawson) and John Richard Boese. Jackie was known for his kind spirit, compassionate heart, and witty sense of humor.  His lifelong work and employment included being a nurse's aide at various assisted living facilities, a youth counselor, and a home care specialist.  Jackie was a talented artist, had a love for reading, enjoyed local politics, and was a passionate Beatles fan. Jackie is survived by his mother, Jeanne (Oliver) Quam; brothers, Reg (Sue) Boese and Corrie (Diane) Boese; and sisters, Pam (Joe) Card and Cara (Patrick) Wefers. VISITATION: 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 29th, at Sunrise Funeral Home, 4798 Miller Trunk Highway, Hermantown, with memorial service to follow at 2 p.m.
