Obituary

John "Jack" Albert Anderson, 84, of Duluth, passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2017. He was born on April 19, 1932, in Duluth to John and Pearl Anderson. Jack grew up in Hermantown, where he went to school and played football for Hermantown. He served 12 years in the Army National Guard. He married Janice Negaard in 1965. He worked as a Teamster for about 30 years, driving trucks and working the various pipeline projects. He enjoyed hunting, trapping, fishing, and spending time outdoors at his cabin. He was an outstanding carpenter and woodworker; he especially enjoyed making hutches and cabinets. He and his wife, Jan, enjoyed traveling and spending time together. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, John & Pearl; and sister, Florence (Floyd) Peterson. Jack is survived by his wife, Jan; children, Denise Priem, Robert (Bonnie) Isaccson, Randy Isaccson, Rocky (Susi) Anderson, and Ricky (Melissa) Anderson; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; siblings, Max Hermberger and Janet Baney; and numerous nieces and nephews. His family would like to extend a special thank you to the Keystone Bluffs staff for the exceptional care given to Jack. VISITATION: 2pm Friday, March 17th at Sunrise Funeral Home, 4798 Miller Trunk Hwy, Hermantown, with a memorial service to follow at 3pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials welcomed to Keystone Bluffs Assisted Living Home in Jack's name.
