Joanne Caroline Hagen, 85, of Duluth, MN passed away on September 13, 2022 in her home at Ecumen Lakeshore surrounded by her 4 daughters. Joanne was born in Duluth to Carl and Caroline Halvorson on January 7, 1937.

Joanne graduated from Denfeld High School and the College of St. Scholastica earning a degree in nursing. Joanne was employed as a registered nurse at St. Mary's Medical Center Home Care Department, eventually becoming the Director of Home Care and Hospice. She was a longtime member of the Duluth Woman's Club and took part in many University for Seniors classes. She supported the performing arts which included the DSSO and the Duluth Playhouse.

Joanne was preceded in death by her husband, Dale C. Hagen; parents; brother, Robert Halvorson; sister, Myrtle Rogina; sisters-in-law, Jane Halvorson and Jean Forester; brother-in-law, Joseph Rogina; and mother-in-law, Mildred Hagen.

Joanne is survived by her daughters, Kim (Dave) Kelso, Karen (Dave) Johnson, Kathryn (Rockne) Johnson, and Kirstin (Kerry) Leider; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Maurice (Kathy) Hagen and Steve Hagen; and several nieces and nephews.

A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date. Interment at Sunrise Memorial Park Cemetery with her husband.
