With great sadness, we announce the passing of Jean Ann (Ronning) Brown, 81, of Duluth, on September 13, 2024 at Viewcrest Health Center, surrounded by her loved ones.

Jean was born in Duluth to Henry and Ada Ronning on December 29, 1942. She graduated from Hermantown High School in 1960 and married Robert M. Brown on June 10, 1961.

Jean enjoyed answering the phones at G&D Auto for the past 10 years, visiting and making a lot of friends with the customers and keeping George in line! In her spare time, you could find her doing puzzles, reading a good book, or enjoying card games with friends and family. Jean made a friend everywhere she went. When you see a butterfly, think of Jean.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; parents; and siblings, Jack, Jan, Judi, Susie, Luann, and Vicki.

Jean is survived by her daughters, Sandy Brown, Kari Copeland, and Patty Brown (Brian Copeland); 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; brother, Jim Ronning; and many nieces and nephews.

Private family service to be held at her longtime home, 4190 Kingston Rd, Duluth.
