Janet was an artist who could capture the outdoors in her oil paintings. She was also an avid gardener who loved growing roses.

Janet Elizabeth Calhoun, 80, of Duluth, MN passed away the morning of December 17, 2020 at St. Luke's Hospital of heart failure.

Janet was born in Stockton, CA to Olva and Earl Shroyer on September 18, 1940. Her mother, Olva, and two sisters, JoAnn and Judie, moved to Grand Marias, MN where she spent most of her childhood enjoying the closeness of many relatives that lived in the area.

Janet married Daniel F. Meyer and had six children. She had many jobs but enjoyed her last one the best, which was preparing lunches and food for Meals on Wheels at the Morgan Park Community Center.

Janet was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Meyer; daughters, Tanya and Dawn; grandson, Levi; and sister, Judie.

Janet is survived by her children, Michael Meyer, JoNell (Patrick) Susnik, David (Connie) Meyer, and Patricia (Rocky) Flatland; grandchildren, Jennifer, Jake, Amanda, John (Rachael), Michelle (Jarrid), Jessica, Taryn, and Rylee; great-grandson, Tucker; and special friend, John Susnik.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all the doctors and wonderful nurses at St. Luke's Hospital.

Memorial for Janet will be held in the spring of 2021.
