James Gordon Newell, 57, of Duluth, passed away on October 31, 2018 in his home of natural causes. James was born in Duluth on October 26, 1961 to Robert and Joyce Newell. James loved to paint, enjoyed music, and was very social. He adored his nieces and nephews. James had a kind and loving heart and would always find and bring out the best in everyone. The world is a darker place without him; he will be missed dearly. James was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce. James is survived by his father, Robert; siblings, Gayle (Gilbert "Sunny")Perry, Thomas Newell, Robert Newell, Linda Newell; nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; and many good friends. Service to be held at later date, yet to be determined.
