James "Jim" Hugh Proudlock, 82, of Duluth, MN passed away peacefully surrounded by family on September 23, 2024

Jim was born June 9, 1942, in Menomonie, WI, the son of Dr. Homer and Delma (Nida) Proudlock. Jim was educated in Menomonie and graduated from the University of Wisconsin River Falls and Hennepin County Medical Center as a registered Medical Technologist. He continued his medical career in the Twin Cities teaching chemistry, and working at various hospitals, and finally establishing a health center (Pilot City) under the department of Health Education and Welfare. He continued this for 15 yrs before moving his family to Duluth, MN in 1979 where he then became a business owner.

Jim was a fun-loving, kind, and caring man who enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors, he never turned down a good cup of coffee. He loved camping with his family and friends. He was active in his church and enjoyed attending his kids and grandkids various activities.

As a boy Jim earned the rank of Eagle Scout and later his private pilot's license.

Jim is survived by his wife of 56 years, Peggy Proudlock; son, Shawn (Michelle) Proudlock; daughters, Kara (Tom) Foucault and Mandy (Ryan) Dewey; grandchildren, Livia, Sebastian, Mia, Colton, and Daniel; grand-pup, Bogie; and sisters-in-law, Stacey (Curt) Dimberio and Debbie Taren along with their children, Cursta, Taran, Lindsay, and Casey.

The family would like to thank their Church Body, the Hospice care team, Dr. Lundstrom, family and friends who prayed and carried them through this difficult journey.

Visitation will be held 2:00 – 4:00 PM on Wednesday, October 9th at Gramercy Park, 4072 Haines Rd, Duluth, with coffee and refreshments. Visitation will continue at 10:00 AM on Thursday, October 10th at Faith Baptist Church, 5693 Maple Grove Rd, Hermantown, with Memorial Service at 11:00 AM and reception to follow.
