James "Jim" Alan Hughes, 67, of Duluth MN, passed away on August 23, 2024, at his home. He was born in Duluth to Harold and Clarice Hughes on August 12, 1957.

Jim attended high school at Denfeld High School and graduated in 1976. He worked as a school bus driver for the Proctor school district for over 30 years. He enjoyed spending time in nature and absolutely adored his dogs, which he treated as good as any child. He loved a good political debate and was a passionately patriotic American. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Clarice Hughes; brothers, Sonny and Dale; sisters, Carol, Shirley, and Joyce; and dear pup, Hailey.

Jim is survived by his son, Chad (Elaine) Hughes; sister, Bonnie; grandchildren, Lillian, Max, Lilyanna, Emerson, Adeline, and Mikah; and grandpup, Archibald A. Hughes.

A graveside committal service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 3rd at Sunrise Memorial Park Cemetery, 4798 Miller Trunk Hwy. A reception to follow at Jim's home after the service. Family and friends are welcome to attend.
