Jakub R. Witherill, age 18, of Duluth passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2015. He was born in Duluth on November 28, 1997 to Troy and Dawn Witherill. Jakub lived in Louisiana and Indiana for eight years before returning to Duluth at the start of 2008. He attended Lakeview Christian Academy for six years before going briefly to Denfeld and then to homeschool. He had been accepted into the PSEO program at Lake Superior College and was interested in studying psychology. He worked as a cook making pizzas at Pizza Hut. He enjoyed driving the 1990 light blue Jeep, spending time helping friends, and listening to loud music! He was the family comedian and a great communicator. He will be remembered for making people laugh and comforting people in their pain and trials. He is survived by his parents, Troy and Dawn; siblings Lynsey, Jared, and Alayna; and many other family and friends. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 18, 2015 at 6:00pm at Sunrise Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 3:00-6:00pm. Food and fellowship will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, money is needed to help the family pay for this sudden unexpected event but please don't think you have to give money. The Witherill's just would like a great outpouring of support for Jakub.
