Ida (Trotta) Priola, 93,passed peacefully Wednesday March 12,2014 at Essentia Health Hospice. She was born May 10, 1920 in Duluth to Michael Trotta, Sr. and Ida (Galatro) Trotta, who preceded her in death. Ida was always known for her amazing food, whether feeding family, friends or customers. But her biggest impact was being a caring and loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She was the last survivor of nine siblings and will be going home to be with John J. (Mae) Trotta, Rose (Louis) DeToma, Joseph (Gene) Trotta, Dorothy (Pete) Anderson, Mary Lucy Trotta, Angeline Gauthier, Margaret Trotta and Michael Trotta. Ida is survived by her daughter Julie; grandson Ryan; many wonderful nieces and nephews; her sister-in-law Genevieve (Michael) Trotta; good friends and her church family at First Presbyterian Church. Ida's family would like to thank the staff of Essentia Health, SICU and Hospice unit for their attentive care of Ida.
