Hubert "Gil" Chester Gilberg, 82, of Duluth, passed away suddenly on December 13, 2022 in his home of natural causes.

Hubert is survived by his wife of 63 years, Elizabeth "Betty"; daughter, Stacy (Dave) Lubbesmeyer; son, Carl (LaNae) Gilberg; grandchildren, Cody (Ellie) Burcar, Tyler (Allie) Gilberg, Nicki (Kjell) Gilberg and Sarah (Brent) Hobbs; great-grandchildren, Cabella, Zander, Luca, Thomas and Aaron; sister, Veronica Gilberg; brother, Garry (Sara) Gilberg; siblings-in-law, MaryJo and Bill Kerfoot; and several nieces, nephews and their families.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the first responders, EMTs, and the St. Louis County Sheriffs personal for their professional help.

Per Hubert's request, no public services to be held. Private committal and entombment at Sunrise Memorial Park Cemetery.
