Herbert "Herb" Lyle Anderson, 83, of Duluth, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 4, 2018, at North Shore Estates. Herb was born in Rice Lake Township to Andrew and Christine Anderson on August 11, 1935. Herb retired from the DTA in 1997, after 32 years of service. Herb loved nature, traveling, camping, and dragging his wife and kids to the middle of nowhere in Canada to catch that trophy walleye. Herb was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Connie; son, Herb Jr.; daughter, Anne Einbu; son-in-law, Fred Bodin; brother, Lloyd; and sister, Louis Jakubek. Herb is survived by his daughter, Mary Bodin; son, John; daughter-in-law, Laurie Anderson; grandchildren, Mandi, Sarah, Brad, John Jr., Beth, Dylan and Sophie; great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Kaylee, Tyler, Molly and Tanya; great-great-grandchildren, Alyiah, Jessica and Kamari; sisters, Elaine Alander, Vi Olson and Jean Tracy. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Spirit Valley Assisted Living, North Shore Estates, and St. Croix Hospice. VISITATION: 1 pm on Monday, November 12th at Sunrise Funeral Home, 4798 Miller Trunk Hwy, with funeral service to follow at 2 pm. Interment in Sunrise Memorial Park Cemetery.
