Gregory "Greg" Dean Somrock, 68, of Duluth Minnesota passed away on November 14, 2025, at Essentia Health St Mary's Medical Center.

Greg was born in Rantoul, IL to Louis and Karen Somrock on September 6, 1957. He graduated from East High School in 1976. He worked as a self-employed contractor with his own business, Somrock Construction, for many years with his sons Wayne and Ray.

Greg enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, and being at the family cabin on Pequaywan Lake. He enjoyed sharing his vegetable plants with others that he grew himself and the bounty of veggies he harvested. He loved to see his family and friends having a great time at the cabin and teaching the grandchildren how to fish. He will always be remembered for his infectious laugh and his sense of humor.

Greg was preceded in death by his father, Louis.

Greg is survived by his wife, Sherry; their two sons, Wayne and Raymond (Suzanna); four grandchildren, Dean, Aurora (DJ), Sophie, and Primrose; mother, Karen; and brother, Jeff.

The family would like to thank the urology and infusion center at Essentia Health for all their kindness and support during Greg's illness.

Visitation to be held from 9:00 – 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 6th at the Apostolic Gospel Church, 3882 Haines Rd, with Memorial Service to follow at 11:00 AM.
