Gregg Charles Korpi passed away Saturday, May 4, 2019 at home after a short battle with cancer. He was born September 18, 1946 and grew up in Duluth, MN. Gregg was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Duluth. After retiring from Maurices in 2007, he took on the custodial and maintenance duties at the church. He was very active on many committees and was very involved in the upkeep of the property and finances. Gregg and his wife were also caretakers of the church Camp Smith on Aerie Lake in Alborn, MN a place they cherished as if it was their own. He is preceded in death by his father Charles, mother Lucille, and nephew Nick. Gregg is survived by his wife Bobbie, daughter Lisa Garret, brothers Gary (Nancy) and Dan. He is also survived by step-children Allison(Brandon) Wright, Adam Dargan, grandson Bennett and niece Stacy (Peter) Thorpe. Visitation will be Thursday May 16, 2019 at 10 am and will continue to the memorial service at 11 am at Sunrise Funeral Home and Cemetery 4798 Miller Trunk Highway Hermantown, MN.
