Gina Annette Wagner, 68, of Proctor Minnesota, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2026, with her husband by her side.

Gina was born in and raised for a large portion of her life in Duluth Minnesota, the second of five siblings to Janice and Vincent Dodge on November 27,1957.

She graduated from Duluth East High School in 1976, and a few years after met her future husband, Robert Wagner. They were married in Duluth on June 27,1981 and raised 3 children starting in 1983 moving forward.

Gina loved her friends and family and with the intensity of a 1000 suns did anything it took to try and make our lives run as smoothly as they could.

She loved the summers and in turn would spend them in nature. Camping, fishing, gardening, bird watching, sunbathing, ceramics, softball, eating little snacks while watching her programs, riding motorcycles, visiting with friends and family and relaxing around a campfire.

Gina is preceded in death by her sister Pamela (Mark) Scanlon. Her parents Janice and Vincent Dodge. And her best friend Lissette Joy. Among other friends and extended family.

She is survived by her husband Robert, their sons Brandon, Joshua, and Cody (Stephanie). As well as her grandchildren Rylynn, Lilly, Jaxson, Brixton, Maddox, Beaux and Monreaux.

The family would like to thank the Essentia Health Home Hospice team including RN Case Manager Lindsay. Home Health Aids Kristy and Danielle. Nurse Practitioner Vicki. Social Worker Meredyth. Dr. Jose. And Chaplin Jennifer, for making Gina's last year of life as uncomplicated, comfortable and peaceful as possible.

A celebration of life will be held at 12:00pm on Saturday, July 11, 2026. At Sunrise Funeral Home. Located at 4798 Miller Trunk Highway, Hermantown, MN 55811.
