Gerald Thomas Boothe, 78, of Duluth, Minn. passed away peacefully with his wife of 51 years by his side on Saturday, Nov. 12, 2016 in St. Luke's Hospice from complications of COPD. He was born July 22, 1938 to Gerald and Arlene Boothe in Geneva, New York. He graduated from Geneva High School and went on to serve his country in the United States Marines. He met his wife Sharyn while working at Goldfine's By the Bridge; they were married in 1965. He then worked at Maurices, M&K Men's Store and owned and operated the Kings Men Big and Tall Store. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Beverly (Art) Davis; sisters-in-law, Marilyn Peterson and Lois Burud; and brother-in-law, Dennis Brokaw. Gerald is survived by his wife, Sharyn; brothers-in-law Art Davis, Lawrence Peterson (Wendy Jamison) and John Burud; sister-in-law, Jackie (Don) Chandler; and many loved nieces and nephews and special friends (you know who you are). Sharyn would like to thank Dr. Peterson, Dr. Knuths and all of the nurses at St. Luke's who took care of Jerry over the years; and, most recently, the nurses at St. Luke's Hospice, especially Tina S. for the care and compassion she provided to Jerry these past 18 months.
