Evelyn "Ev" Ellamae Mortinsen, 94, of Proctor, died on Sunday, February 23, 2020 in her home. She was born in Duluth to John and Edith Breuer on January 9, 1926. She attended Denfeld High School, class of '44. She worked at Western Electric and Duluth Avionics. She belonged to the Daughters of the Nile and the Auxiliary of the United Transportation Union. She collected Hummels and enjoyed traveling. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, George; son-in-law, Jim Carlson; siblings; and good friend, Will Bijold. Evelyn is survived by her daughter, Darlene Carlson; son, Robert (Linda) Mortinsen; grandchildren, Nicole (Brian) Boder, Jed (Jennifer) Graves, Andrew (Stephanie) Graves, Marissa (Joe) Kleiman, Sara (Clifford) Courneya, Michael Mortinsen, Christie (Jason) Waller, and Eric Mortinsen; great-grandchildren, Carly and Jay Boder, Austin, Madison, Aurora and Jaxon Graves, Laine and Samantha Graves, Makenna and Paisley Kleiman, Avery, Quinn, and Amber-Lee. Visitation will be held at 10 am on Monday, March 2nd at Sunrise Funeral Home, 4798 Miller Trunk Hwy, with memorial service to follow at 11 am. Interment at Oneota Cemetery in Duluth.
