Emmett Ambrose Murray Emmett Ambrose Murray, of Hermantown, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at Edgewood Vista. Emmett was born August 29, 1923, in Dorchester, Wisconsin, to Alfred and Mary Murray. He was the 2nd of 3 sons. He was married to his high school sweetheart, Audrey Diem, on February 23, 1951. They spent 62 wonderful years together. Emmett was a devout Catholic and a man of faith and wisdom and loved by many. He was a long time member of Saint Raphael's Parish, in Hermantown, Minnesota. He was a 25 year Korean War Veteran in the United States Air Force and spent many years doing volunteer work for the elderly. Emmett was quick-witted, with a wonderful sense of humor. He loved fishing, camping, crossword puzzles and spending time with his family. He is survived by his children, Margie (Willie) Harris, Carol (Doug) Bystedt, Steve (Allison) Murray, Ron (Rhonda) Murray, Linda Murray, son in law, Keith Rustad, 15 grandchildren and 1 great daughter. The family would like to thank the staff at Edgewood Vista for their wonderful care.
