Elizabeth "Betty" M. (Rich) Larson, 81, of Duluth, passed away on Saturday November 16, 2013 in Chris Jensen Nursing Home surrounded by her family.  She married the love of her life; Kermit E. Larson on Jan. 14, 1950, and together they had three children.  Betty had cooked at many restaurants in Duluth including Sammy's Pizza and Jim's Hamburger.  She enjoyed fishing, camping at Driftwood Estates, crocheting, casino playing and all of her family activities.  She will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her father Marion Rich, mother Ida Runnberg and her husband Melvin, sisters Ruth, Florence, and Leona, brothers Donald, Gordon and Jim, grandsons David and Scott Miner. She is survived by her husband of 63 years Kermit, children Charlotte (Mike) Willis, Steve (Annette) Larson and Kim Miner, sister Loretta (Joe) Herr, brothers John (Arlene) Rich and Henry (Sue) Rich, grandchildren Stephanie (Dan) Teigen, John (Jayme) Willis, Todd (Angie) Larson, Krista (Steve) Duncan, Kelly (Eric) Carlson,  Patricia Miner, and Luke (Trista) Miner, eight great-grandchildren, three foster great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank the staff at Chris Jensen (Willow Unit) for the wonderful care given to "Queen Elizabeth", and to Essentia Elder Care & Hospice care, and to all of her doctors who cared for her over the years.
