Edward Van Rossum age 94, of Duluth and Sun City, Arizona passed away on Sunday May 31, 2015 in Chris Jensen Health Care Center. Ed graduated from Denfeld High School in 1940. Before serving in the U.S. Army he married Harriet Roberts. During WWII Ed served in the 43rd Army Infantry Division serving in the Philippines and Japan from 1944 to 1947. He received a Purple Heart and Bronze Star amongst other medals. Later he became a machinist and made the gears that lifted the Duluth Aerial Lift Bridge.
