Duane Allen Valure, 36, of Proctor unexpectedly passed on October 28, 2022 in his home.

Duane was born on December 13, 1985 in Duluth, attended Central High School, and later went to join the Army National Guard. He served in the 1-94 CAV, and served one tour of duty overseas. Duane was most recently employed as a Corrections Officer with the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office.

Duane was preceded in death by his grandmother, Carol; grandfather, Jim; and aunt, Kim.

Duane is survived by his children, Julianna, Makayla and Braelynn; mother, Diane; sister, Jessica; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and brothers in arms.

Visitation to be held from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM on Wednesday, November 9th at Sunrise Funeral Home, 4798 Miller Trunk Hwy, with Memorial Service with Military Honors to follow at 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to 23rd Veteran at 23rdveteran.org
