Dorothy R. Loften, 91, of Duluth, passed away on Friday March 15, 2013 at home with her loving family by her side. She was born in Tracey, MN on April 19, 1921 to Ernest and Lillian Nelson.  Dorothy had worked at JC Penny's as a Department Manager, and had been Laundry Supervisor at the Cook Home.  She enjoyed bowling with her many friends at Country Lanes, dancing at the VFW, and playing cards. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Jim Loften and Howard Young, and a sister Helen Petoletti. She is survived by her children Gerald (Roberta Paulson) Young of Duluth, Richard (Deb) Young of FL, David (Sandra) Young of Elko, MN, sister Lorraine Severson of Inver Grove Heights, brother Ernie Nelson of New Richmond, WI, special granddaughter Lori (Beth Olson) Young, many other grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and her special friend Pearl.
