Dorothy Diane (Jukich) (Joe) Bubacz, 90, of Duluth, passed away on Monday, August 16, 2021 at North Shore Estates. She was born in Gary-New Duluth on March 19, 1931 to Michael and Mary (Marnich) Jukich.

Dorothy worked at Nopeming Nursing Home as a cook for 25 years and retired in 1991. She was most proud of her 4 children and all her efforts went into raising them with much love and devotion. She was blessed with 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, all of whom were dearly loved. Dorothy loved to cook for her family and was an expert at family favorites like sarama and potica. She also had a love of reading and continuing to learn was a lifelong passion.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Michael, Amelia, Richard, Joseph, Daisy, William, Donald and Theodore.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Don (Carmen) Joe of Corrales, NM, Marina (James) Olson of Duluth, MayLing Chan of Minneapolis, MN, and Heidi (Gerald) Olson of Duluth; grandchildren, Ryan Li Dahlstrom, Lisa (Jacob) Jacobson, Michael Joe, Nicole (Jesus) Vazquez Calle, Alex Joe, Noah Ridge and Ashley Olson; great-grandchildren, Jacob and Lauren Jacobson; along with many beloved nieces and nephews.

Gathering of family and friends: Visitation to be held at 11 am on Thursday, August 26th at St. George Serbian Orthodox Church, 1216 - 104th Avenue West, Duluth MN with funeral service to follow at 12 noon. Entombment at Sunrise Memorial Park Cemetery on Friday, August 27th at 11 am. Memorials preferred to the St. George Serbian Orthodox Church.
