Dorla Mae Nordberg, 91, passed away Thursday, April 26, 2018. She was born on September 27, 1926, outside of Hovland Township, in northern Minnesota to Carl and Ines Linnell. After graduating from Duluth Central High School she was employed at Minnesota Woolen Co. Dorla was a longtime resident and volunteer at Woodland Garden Apartments, which she called home for over 30 years. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo with the ladies at Woodland Garden and her grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling, going to casinos, and Walleye Wednesday's at Bridgeman's. Dorla was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Gunnar. Dorla is survived by her beloved sons, Stephen (Lucia) of El Paso, TX, Gerald (Janet Crouley) of Oakdale, MN, and Michael (Glenda) of Duluth, MN; brother, Arleigh (Beryl) Linnell of Graham, WA, and Donna (Dennis) Goggin of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren, Jeneen (Steve) Paplior, Jason, Jacque (Shawn) Alvar, Ron (Elizabeth), Sean (Dyana), Anna (Bill) Lucero, and Heidi (Chris) Nance; and numerous great-granchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
